I titled this blog "Happily 'Just Me'" because for the first time in my life I've spent the last 12 months happy, fulfilled, focused, and single. And despite everything I have accomplished this year it all diminishes to nothing in almost every conversation regardless of gender, race, or age when I pronounce that it's just me. No husband. No kids. Not even a dog. OH MY! One would think I have a death sentence. I receive sad puppy dog eyes and the shaking of the head in disapproval. Even from women! It's infuriating to think that my worth because I am a woman must be tied to my relationship with a man or how many children I have. Not how well I excel in my line of work, not even my character or how I treat people.

This is the year of NEW- beginnings, favor, relationships, jobs, grace, and doors. You want to be surrounded by the right people that help to propel you deeper into purpose and peace. Don't be afraid to close certain chapters so that God to write new ones. Like with Abraham and Lot, in order to get the greater you desire you may have to leave "your circle." Trade the known for the unknown and watch God shower you abundantly in blessings not based on getting it right based on your obedience and God's faithfulness. Our job is simply to trust Him. Even with our relationships. Join me in Securing the Circle to secure a better 2019.

Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!! The year has changed, but our God remains the same! At a recent vision board party, when discussing everything my friends and I wanted to accomplish, someone asked, "What's your word for the year?" She was asking what's the one word that is going to be at the forefront of my mind, what word is going to take me over into greater this year. To be honest, I hadn't thought of anything. 4 months into starting my apparel company, I decided I wanted to devote all of my time and energy into making sure it was a success. I know to some that may sound completely crazy, but here's how I looked at it: if I have to wake up everyday and work efficiently for a company, put all my time and energy into it, overtime, sleepless nights, etc. IT MAY AS WELL BE MY OWN! Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with working a 9-5. HOWEVER, there are many desk jobs that many of us work to make ends...

I absolutely LOVE Fall! I love everything about it from the fashion to the colors to the weather. What I don't love is my current Spiritual Fall season. My leaves that were once attached and full of life are now changing colors and completely falling off. Those extensions of me are dying as God is stripping them away, which leaves me bare and empty.
